On the 20th of June 2024 in my capacity as the leader of Society of Zambezi Psychology and in Consultation of psychology persons, I presented the psychology position with all my strength as unto the Lord. It is at this juncture important to mention that Dr Javangwe helped much in the oral presentation during the meeting which however was met with tissue rejection by the facilitator and some persons on the floor from AHPCZ who laboured the point of our financial incapacity to have a separate council, we refuted this claim which we think is peripheral, misdirected and assumptive. Our position is that at law nothing stops us from making our own council and chart our own course as a discipline. Our final position is that the Health Professions Act Chapter 27:19 should be amended reflecting our position of us having a Psychology and Psychometrics Council of Zimbabwe. I would like to thank psychology members who were online pushing for the same position which initially we presented orally and later via a written submission.

In the meeting and beyond I managed to do the following:

1. Submitted a written hard copy to the Chair of the meeting.
2. Have had our submission in hard copy confirmed in the meeting by Ms Nellie Tiago (Chairperson/Facilitator) at 15hrs 02mins.
3. The Chair asked us to submit a soft copy of the document.
4. We confirmed that we are more than willing to share that document.
5. Send the softcopy to the (Chairperson/Facilitator) via email Friday Morning before 06hrs 00mins, which also cc Allied Health Practitioner Council Zimbabwe (AHPCZ) and Council member of psychology.
