The long awaited elections are now over with Prof H Zirima declared winner of the elections.

The three  contestants where as follows (i) Cephas Shanyurai (Educational Psychologist), Dr Julia Mutambara (Clinical Psychologist),and (iii) Prof  Hebert  Zirima (Educational Psychologist),

At  15 Wednesday 2025, 00hrs: 20 mins 106 votes had been cast it’s a historic vote in Psychology Council Elections:


Mr Cephas Shanyurai (Educational Psychologist)1 votes

Dr Julia Mutambara (Clinical Psychologist) 25 votes


Prof Hebert Zirima (Educational Psychologist) 80 votes

Prof Zirima support had been clear from day 1 waking up by 06hrs 20 mins having 10 votes and those competing with him at zero.

In the two elections held he remains an undefeated champion enjoying a very wide support base.

Professor Hebert Zirima is currently leading with merely 55 votes from the second placed Dr Mutambara and 79 ahead of Mr Cephas Shanyurai

Prof Zirima has been duly declared as the winner of the elections and becomes the representative of Psychology to 2029.
