In Zimbabwe interns after attaining their Masters have to go for internship which is for 12 months. Under such internship they will be supervised by a senior registered psychologists in the same category of their registration. The senior registered psychologists has a minimum number of 3 years as a registered practitioner according to the Psychology regulations of 2021. The intern psychologists is required to make monthly payments as supervision fees, which will allow calls, visits and the costs for time involved in the process of supervision.

Allied Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe (AHPCZ) has taken to task from time to time announce the fees at which in 2018 were $100 usd per month. In 2022 it was at its lowest at $20 usd and as of January 2023 it was $30 usd, April is set on $40 usd. From 1st of July the fees will be $50 per month.

Currently government of Zimbabwe is not paying for the training for psychologists which takes a minimum of 7 years. It is on the shoulders of the intern and supervisor to see that the costs of the final year of training as required in the regulations are taken care of as a way to ensure that supervised training is done and quality training is done.
